The ART wings look and feel like nothing else

On the water these wings blow your mind! The AXIS ART front wings sit at the forefront of wing design and development, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for a foil. The incredible speed and glide of these wings, coupled with effortless pump and efficiency, enables you to ride the smallest lump way further outside the surf zone than ever before.

The team at AXIS are extremely excited to see how these very responsive, nimble yet confidently precise and planted wings take the down-winding, wing foiling, wind foiling and smaller surf markets by storm.

ART 1099

With an Aspect Ratio of 10.6, the distinctive look of the ART family is taken to a whole new level, as is the performance. With much subtle refinement in R&D, the AXIS ART 1099 has been richly rewarding us with outstanding results.

The glide is out of this world, endless, smooth and yet very fast for its size, but not at the expense of its ability to turn or pump. Low stall speeds and unexpected ease of use that characterise the smaller siblings in the ART range remains and are even enhanced on the ART 1099.

The ART 1099 once again proves that these reduced chord, high aspect wings are the most advanced, hydrodynamically efficient foil designs on the market today. When combined with an AXIS Carbon mast and Progressive rear wings, they provide the ultimate friction free ride. A caution though, once you’ve ridden the ART 1099, it’s very difficult to be happy with anything else.

The ART 1099 was not designed for Jumping.

ART 999

What separates the AXIS ART 999 wing from the pack is how well it turns, rolling effortlessly between turns comparable to a surf wing. Despite these high-performance features of the ART 999, it is a surprisingly user friendly wing. The stall speed is incomparably low, giving even advanced beginner to intermediate riders an accessible platform for learning to pump and rapid progression.

ART 899 & 799

The AXIS ART 999’s younger siblings are seriously fast wings! Yet they retain a similar ease of ride that has made the ART 999 such a favourite with AXIS riders everywhere.

Both the ART 899 and 799 sport incredible speed, great glide coupled with effortless pumping and carving. They enjoy stall speeds far lower than similarly sized wings giving intermediate riders an accessible platform for learning to pump and will assure rapid progression.

ART 699

The AXIS ART 699 has considerably less tip turn-down than the larger ARTs. If you’re towing and prone surfing larger more powerful waves, winging in higher wind conditions or are a smaller/lighter rider, this is the ultimate controlled speed machine. The AXIS team riders are generally using the ART 699 with an Advance Ultrashort, Crazyshort or Sillyshort fuselage and pairing it with a small Progressive rear like the 300/61.

AXIS ART WINGS ARE ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE BLACK SERIES FUSELAGES

The AXIS Research Team Collection

Spread across far flung corners of the globe, a group of obsessed and in some cases eccentric foilers with highly creative and technical minds, are constantly contributing ideas and feedback to AXIS headquarters.

They may not be the hottest performing, the best looking, the most well-known foilers out there but they know their foiling and we love them for it. They are the AXIS Research Team (ART).

They inspire the design team to develop and build new prototype foils virtually every week. Some are evolutions of previous designs, some are just plain ‘out there’ and crazy. But they learn from every one.

Thoroughly tested and approved after several rounds of refinement, these reduced chord, high aspect wings are the most advanced, hydrodynamically efficient foil design on the market today. When combined with an AXIS Carbon mast and AXIS Progressive rear wings, they provide the ultimate friction free ride.

If you want a limited edition ART wing you’ll need to be quick. These are in short supply and selling fast!

Hover Wing Foil Board Size

Below is a rough guide to help determine Hover Wing Foil board size based on rider weight and skill level. A “beginner” rider is considered as someone with no previous board sport experience.

Keep in mind that additional factors, such as wind conditions, foil, and kite wing size will play an important role in the selection of the right board size.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend erring on the side of a more buoyant board with a volume that matches rider weight (for example, an 80kg rider will need at least an 80L board or larger). Riding a “sinker” will work in locations with steady, strong winds, while floatier boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to get back to shore even if the wind drops under a foilable limit.
