What is an AMP Board?

The AMP Board range can be ridden like a normal high performance board but can also employ the AMP Jet or AMP Mast for powered takeoffs and assisted foiling. There are 5 board lengths available, 3 prone and 2 mid-length sizes.

What is AMP Jet?

The AMP Jet is a self-contained and removable cartridge, delivering optimal power for prone foilers, wingers, and downwind enthusiasts, to get up and riding with ease regardless of the conditions. Strategic placement of the AMP Jet ensures there’s no added drag, maintaining the board’s performance integrity throughout the entirety of the ride. The AMP Jet can be ridden with 2 batteries for extra thrust or just 1 for reduced weight.

What does the LAUNCH Pad do?

This allows riders to activate the AMP Jet for a power boost, while remaining hands-free. The LAUNCH Pad enables riders to customise the power, strength and timing of the boost, while an intelligent feature monitors rider position, automatically cutting power once up on foil or in the event of a fall. Additionally, the LAUNCH Pad provides real-time session data through a vibrant display and the Flite App.

Does AMP Jet require a remote?

No it does not require a remote controller, the AMP Board has a built in LAUNCH Pad to control the AMP Jet.

What is AMP Mast?

The AMP Mast promises the same convenient power at your fingertips, but enables riders the ability to smoothly navigate through waves, power back out to the lineup, and catch the next wave all while standing.

Can you fly with the FLITELab* batteries?

FLITELab*’s current intention is to have the batteries certified for transit on commercial aircraft.

Most airlines currently accept batteries below 160Wh, but always check with each carrier before you book.

Hover Wing Foil Board Size

Below is a rough guide to help determine Hover Wing Foil board size based on rider weight and skill level. A “beginner” rider is considered as someone with no previous board sport experience.

Keep in mind that additional factors, such as wind conditions, foil, and kite wing size will play an important role in the selection of the right board size.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend erring on the side of a more buoyant board with a volume that matches rider weight (for example, an 80kg rider will need at least an 80L board or larger). Riding a “sinker” will work in locations with steady, strong winds, while floatier boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to get back to shore even if the wind drops under a foilable limit.
