OZONE Power Pack Parawing

Price range: £779.00 through £879.00

SKU: N/A Category: Brand:

The OZONE Power Pack Parawing is all about ease of stowing away. Designed to be used by more experienced parawingers, the Power Pack has more of a focus on being easier to stow away in a stash belt for those riders who just want to get up and go on longer journeys downwind.

Designed for Rapid Stashing and Swift Redeployment

  • Short bridle layout and centre front line riser for faster bundling of the wing
  • New bridle line material for smooth hand-sliding up the frontlines and tangle free packing
  • Compact pack down size, ideal for use with the Stash Harness, Stash Belt and Mission Pack
  • Wide wind range with excellent depower and stability
  • Reliable upwind performance
  • New Bow Bar design for added control and comfort

WHO IS THE POWER PACK FOR?

THE POWER PACK IS MADE FOR RIDERS WHO ALREADY HAVE PARAWING EXPERIENCE AND ARE COMMITTED TO A MORE STASH & GLIDE STYLE OF RIDING.

The ultra light weight design packs down to a very compact size and is suited to riders who spend more time foiling hands-free than riding the wing very powered up.

It is designed as a tool to get up on foil, pack away and feel the sensation of foiling unassisted.

We would recommend inexperienced riders to begin with the Pocket Rocket.

The Power Pack is a simple yet highly functional design that carefully balances all aspects of performance.

  • Large parachute-style surface area generates ample power to lift you quickly onto your foil
  • Once flying, the Power Pack offers extensive depower and decent upwind angles for efficient returns
  • lower rib count compared to the Pocket Rocket makes the wing lighter and smaller by design, allowing the canopy to be stashed faster and with less precision handling. It also helps the wing to open cleanly and quickly during redeployment
  • The short bridle layout and centre front line riser make the wing easier to bundle — within arm’s reach for most riders and keeps lines out of your way when packing down
  • The low-aspect-ratio design works perfectly with the short bridles, helping the wing stay naturally positioned in the power zone. The result is a solid burst of power that suits riders who can pop up on foil quickly
  • The Power Pack features a high performance, durable, airtight and lightweight double rip-stop material with a uniquely formulated coating to help shed water, improving flying characteristics and re-launch
  • A new bridle material ensures you can smoothly and quickly slide your hands up the lines, time after time, without any discomfort

FREEHAND CONTROL

Developed to complement the Power Pack’s free-feeling performance, the Bow Bar introduces a new level of comfort and control.

  • By eliminating a central leader line, the Bow Bar design frees up hand positioning and opens the centre section of the bar. You can now focus more on your riding and less on your hands
  • The Bow line engages the central bridle line levels on a ratio which controls the canopy much more evenly through angle-of-attack changes. The power range has become more progressive through input to the bar’s angle and you’ll feel enhanced top-end and bottom-end power control
  • A 36cm bar length has been designed for all sizes, creating the perfect balance for maximum control and packing size

SECRETS OF THE STASH

The Power Pack’s short bridle lines provide a more direct connection to the wing while also enabling a faster stash and redeployment. The pack down experience is also improved thanks to the new, smooth, bridle material.

Achieving true, user-friendly performance is about more than just shorter lines and smoother material — it’s about refining every detail.

BRIDLE DESIGN, IN DETAIL

  • Centre front line riser:
Bundling your frontlines via the centre riser — which excludes the wingtip lines — drastically reduces hand forces and makes reaching the canopy quicker and easier
  • New bridle line material:
Developed specifically for parawing use, the new front lines feature a special coating for effortless, smooth and rash-free handling
  • Refined line diameter and stiffness:
Helping to ensure fast, tangle-free pack downs — every time

Spanwise Bridge Lines

Lines running across the underside of the wing distribute load from the bridles evenly and effectively. This avoids excessive span-wise tension being transmitted into the canopy and allows its profile and billow to be controlled more precisely

V-shrink tabs on the trailing edge

Precisely positioned to allow for a reduced number of brake lines, while also distributing balanced tension along the entire trailing edge. Contributing to a less complex bridle layout makes pack down and redeployment easier, while the more grunty power produced by the rounded parachute shape captures a good blast of wind to bring you up on foil

THE POWERPACK ISN’T A POCKET ROCKET

Although the Power Pack has intuitive handling, stability and solid pull to get up on foil, we don’t recommend it for learning how to parawing, as it is not designed to withstand the wear and tear potentially caused during the learning process.

The Power Pack provides reliable upwind performance, however, with its longer bridle lines and added cell structure, the Pocket Rocket sits further forward in the window and offers an extra edge for those seeking maximum upwind efficiency.

The Pocket Rocket range will continue to help riders develop the initial skills needed to enjoy parawinging, with its easy, smooth power and friendly flying performance, allowing for rapid progression.

How to service your Lift Efoil Motor

Lip Seals and Oil Change

These instructions will walk you through the replacement of the two Lip seals and perform your own oil change.

Note: It will be easier to perform these repairs with the mast removed.

Step 1
If the Lift LCS is installed, remove the prop. For a conventional prop, remove the center bolt, then pull out the propeller and pin (the pin may fall out, make sure not to lose it). If the propeller is jammed, you may try to: a. lightly tap on it, b. soak it in water for about an hour, or, c. use a prop remover.

Step 2

Remove the four screws that connect the LCS base or shroud to the motor casing.  Slide out the LCS base or shroud.  Four replacement screws are provided.  Use NEW/provided Allen Wrenches to remove the screws.

Step 3
Remove the Rotary Seal from the shroud or LCS base.  Use a sharp object is required.  Replace with provided Lip Seal, open side facing motor.

Step 4
Use a sharp object to remove Lip Seal from motor.  Remove and replace the compression O-Ring.

Step 5
Remove the drain fill screw and replace the O Ring.  Tilt the motor with the screw hole facing downward. Without the seal and screw, the oil should drain easily; While the drain hole faces down, twist and rotate the motor housing in a circular motion to help the oil accumulate at the opening. If the oil appears very milky, clean it using brake cleaner. Use the straw attachment on the brake cleaner can to spray up the drain hole and help flush out any contaminants.

Step 6
Tilt the motor with the drain hole facing up.  Install the second Rotary Seal provided, open side facing prop.  Use syringe and thick needle provided to add oil to the motor.  You may need to use most or all of the oil.  The oil bottle provided contains slightly.  DO NOT OVERFILL.  If the oil reaches the top, remove about 5-10 ml using the syringe.

Step 7

Reassemble in reverse order.

Hover Wing Foil Board Size

Below is a rough guide to help determine Hover Wing Foil board size based on rider weight and skill level. A “beginner” rider is considered as someone with no previous board sport experience.

Keep in mind that additional factors, such as wind conditions, foil, and kite wing size will play an important role in the selection of the right board size.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend erring on the side of a more buoyant board with a volume that matches rider weight (for example, an 80kg rider will need at least an 80L board or larger). Riding a “sinker” will work in locations with steady, strong winds, while floatier boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to get back to shore even if the wind drops under a foilable limit.
