MANERA Blizzard Jacket

£215.00

Clear
SKU: MAN23-BLIZZARD-JACKET Categories: , , , Tags: ,

Winter is all about strong wind & colds days and this is exactly what the MANERA Blizzard Jacket is made for.

This 3 layers jacket is light, waterproof and windproof. The two side-pockets allow a harness spreaderbar to go through to be used when Kiting.

Warning: Do not wear this jacket in surf conditions, it might compromise your movements in case of wipeout in the waves.

The MANERA Blizzard Jacket creates a cocoon around the Kiter that allows a far better resistance to cold even with a standard wetsuit. Whether you are on the water or debriefing the session on the beach, the Blizzard will keep you warm & comfy.

Like a wetsuit, it is important to take care of it: Rinse it with fresh water after each session, keep it stored on a hanger.

Features

Windstopper
The windchill lowers your body temperature because of the passing-flow of lower-temperature air, it is emphasized if the body’s wet. That’s why it’s important to protect from the gusts, to avoid your wet wetsuit keeping you cold. The MANERA Blizzard jacket’s 3 laminated layers are working like a hedge to cut the wind and protect the body from cold gusts.

Water repellent
The pores in the internal membrane are not big enough to let water drops pass through. Being waterproof, the vest protects the rider from the windchill effect. It also stays light as it doesn’t absorb water.

YKK 8mm Plastic zipper
It is useless to design a great jacket if the zipper breaks, gets stuck or corrodes. MANERA only use robust 8mm YKK zippers made of nylon (anti-corrosion).

Breathable
Thanks to its micro-perforated internal membrane, the jacket evacuates moisture from your body when you’re active on land. It also makes it a good tool for any sport like SUPing, biking, or even for a walk in the street.

Hover Wing Foil Board Size

Below is a rough guide to help determine Hover Wing Foil board size based on rider weight and skill level. A “beginner” rider is considered as someone with no previous board sport experience.

Keep in mind that additional factors, such as wind conditions, foil, and kite wing size will play an important role in the selection of the right board size.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend erring on the side of a more buoyant board with a volume that matches rider weight (for example, an 80kg rider will need at least an 80L board or larger). Riding a “sinker” will work in locations with steady, strong winds, while floatier boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to get back to shore even if the wind drops under a foilable limit.
