Lighter and more powerful
The only parts of the KONRAD Wingman V3 that remain the same as the V2 are the outline and most of the profile, these wings have been going through lots of refining. The Wingman V3 has a very similar feel as the V2, it keeps the same easy to use and stable characteristics the riders like. Tacking, gybing and drifting is a breeze with this wing as it keeps a steady flight while in neutral.
Improved low end
The KONRAD Wingman V3 is more powerful than the V2 while still retaining the large usable power range in sheeting. There is also a reduction of flapping in the upper end of the wings range in strong wind.
By reducing some unneeded scuff pads and other small things the wing has shed some weight. They are still using a much thicker bladder material than the other brands to reduce pinholes and any small niggling leaks.
They’ve dropped the one pump. Sounds crazy? Konrad found it easy and mostly faster to inflate deflate with separate Boston valves. This also allows the strut to be pumped harder than the LE for extra stiffness.
New handle material and layout
The new handles are flexible with a slightly bigger more rounded DIA. The layout is now a long handle at the front, short middle and long back handle. They’ve have left the harness attachments on and the centre handle is well balanced for single-handed flying.
The KONRAD Wingman V3 is available in Rasta and Mint colours (Rasta shown in pic).
Bag and leash
The KONRAD Wingman V3 comes with a custom made backpack style wing bag. The leash features a 200kg breaking strain uniformed bungee leash, a custom made mini shackle attached to the swivel on the single-hand operation wrist strap. It’s lightweight, strong, wing specific and you won’t find it in a bodyboarding shop!
